This tour allows you to visit the most beautiful tourist attraction of Uganda, the mountain gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park beginning from Rwanda on a short distance. The population of mountain gorillas has been rising again for quite some time. After only fewer than 100 animals were counted in the 1950s, for 2015/2016 the stock was given with just over 1000 individuals, of which approximately half live in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The protection of these gentle giants is yielding fruit, and visiting this gorilla population supports this protection.
Itineraries
Day 1
Welcome to Rwanda / Drive to Uganda
Depending on your preference, our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Kigali or at Kanombe International Airport in Rwanda. This day we need to travel to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On the way you can enjoy the beautiful mountain landscapes of Southwestern Uganda, which surprise you again and again with its magical view of lonely lakes. We are already staying overnight within the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Overnight: Rushaga Gorilla Camp Meals: lunch and dinner Drinks: water while driving, other drinks not included
Day 2
Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the morning we start early to meet the rangers. After a brief introduction, the search begins. Depending on the gorilla family and their morning urge to move this may be more or less exhausting, but on request, porters are available. Once you have found the animals, you have one hour to take photos or just to enjoy the animals' presence and study their behavior. Still completely overwhelmed by this unique encounter, we then drive to our accommodation at Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful lakes in Uganda. By the way, Bunyonyi means "the place of many little birds". There you can relax and reveal today's memories. Overnight: Bunyonyi overland resort Meals: breakfast, lunch or lunch box, dinner Drinks: water while driving, other drinks not included The next day individual departure (self-organized) or connecting booking.
